LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Harry Reid International Airport is reporting another drop in passenger traffic, with the latest data also reflecting Spirit Airlines’ final numbers before its May 2 shutdown.
Harry Reid International Airport says it served 4,570,647 arriving and departing passengers in May 2026, down 8.38% from May 2025, which was 4,988,872, according to the Clark County Department of Aviation.
So far this year, LAS reports 21,504,917 passengers traveled through the airport, a 6.21% drop compared with the same period in 2025.
In May, domestic travel made up the bulk of traffic with 4,209,265 passengers, down 8.6% year-over-year, while international travel totaled 286,306, down 5.7%.

Among airlines, Southwest led in May with 1,951,157 passengers, followed by Delta (463,303), American (407,739), United (403,355), and Frontier (398,146). Most of those carriers also posted year-over-year declines, some by as much as 12%.
The report also includes early figures for Spirit Airlines before the company shut down in early May. Spirit recorded 3,869 passengers in May, compared with 120,625 in April and more than 500,000 during the same month last year.
Airport officials said Spirit’s deplaning data was not available, so those figures were estimated using the past three months as a guide.
