LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Pennsylvania fugitive was arrested in Las Vegas after nearly four years on the run, according to police.

Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said Jamal Bailey, 28, has been considered a fugitive since April 2020. Bailey, a resident of Pitcairn, Penn., reportedly failed to show for a trial on a case involving two firearms charges and a drug charge. Allegheny Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus said a nationwide bench warrant was issued in May 2020 for Bailey’s arrest.

Authorities received a tip in Oct. 2023 that Bailey was using an address in Las Vegas. Bailey reportedly changed addresses several times over six months to elude arrest before he was captured by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Tuesday.

Bailey was booked into Clark County Detention Center pending extradition back to Allegheny County, police said. Court records show Bailey will be extradited in 30 days, as long as there are no local pending charges against him.
