LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Phish kicked off its Sphere residency in Las Vegas over the weekend, becoming the latest band to take up a run at the venue.

Across the nine-night run, Moment Factory is creating live visuals that change with Phish’s setlists, using Sphere’s 16K screen to move through different looks, ranging from spiderwebs and bubblegum worlds to a hot-dog spaceship.

To tie in the band’s history, Sphere Studios filmed high-resolution footage at Phish’s Burlington, Vermont studio, “The Barn,” using its Big Sky camera system.

The production also introduces a “virtual light rig,” a real-time engine designed to replicate a traditional concert lighting system directly on Sphere’s 160,000-square-foot media plane.

The band returns for another weekend of shows starting Thursday, April 23 and will continue through Saturday, May 2.
