Knoll recorded nine points on seven goals and two assists in 30 appearances with the Minnesota Frost in the 2025-26 season, surpassing the two points on one goal and one assist she registered in 21 games as a rookie. Knoll’s seven goals ranked sixth on the Frost, as Minnesota racked up a league-record 91 goals as a team.
The 25-year-old native of Amherst, N.Y., has also seen action in 13 playoff games in two seasons, totaling six points on three goals and three assists, including two goals and three assists in eight games during the 2025 postseason to share the rookie scoring lead and help the Frost capture the Walter Cup.
Knoll was selected by Minnesota with the 39th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2024 PWHL Draft.
College and international career
Prior to her professional career, Knoll skated collegiately at Northeastern University, notching 131 points on 61 goals and 70 assists in 177 games across five seasons with the Huskies.
On the international stage, Knoll won gold representing the United States at the 2018 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, followed by a silver medal at the 2019 tournament.
Reunions with former teammates
On PWHL Las Vegas, Knoll reunites with three former Minnesota teammates with defenders Mae Batherson and Kendall Cooper signed in Phase 2, and goaltender Nicole Hensley signed in Phase 3 of the expansion process. She is also reunited with two former Northeastern teammates, defender Megan Carter and forward Maureen Murphy, both signed in Phase 3.
Knoll is the sixth player to join PWHL Las Vegas with a Walter Cup title in her career along with Batherson and Hensley, and a trio of 2026 Montréal Victoire champions in Murphy, defender Erin Ambrose, and forward Hayley Scamurra.
At the end of Sunday’s Phase 4 signing period, each expansion team will have 10 total players through signings and, if necessary, a player selection process. Players eligible to be signed in Phase 4 are those not signed or protected in Phases 1-3, including players on expiring contracts and players under contract for 2026-27. Existing teams can lose a maximum of four players who are under contract for the 2026-27 season in Phases 1-4.
