LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Resort at Summerlin will host a free community block party on Saturday, Aug. 1, to benefit Project 150, a local nonprofit that supports homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students across Nevada.
The Neighborhood Food Hall Community Block Party runs from 1 to 4 p.m. inside The Neighborhood Food Hall at The Resort at Summerlin, which is part of the property’s recently completed $75 million renovation and revitalization.

The event will also feature live music from Shawn Eiferman, local craft vendors and family-friendly summer activities.
Food Crawl Passports benefit Project 150
Admission is free, but organizers are encouraging guests to purchase a Food Crawl Passport, which includes tasting samples from participating restaurants. Passports are $25 in advance or $30 the day of the event. One hundred percent of passport proceeds and direct donations will benefit Project 150.
“For many students, something as simple as having reliable meals, school supplies or a safe place to turn can make the difference between merely surviving and truly succeeding,” said Kelli Kristo, executive director of Project 150. “We’re incredibly grateful to The Resort at Summerlin for creating an event that brings our community together while directly investing in the futures of local teens. Every passport purchased and every donation made helps provide hope, stability and opportunity to students who need it most.”
About Project 150
Project 150 is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free food, clothing, school supplies, college scholarships, mentorship and other support services to high school students experiencing homelessness, housing instability and other challenging circumstances. The organization serves students at 75 high schools in Southern Nevada and 30 high schools in Reno.
