LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — With results still unofficial, both mayoral contests in Southern Nevada appear to be heading for November runoffs, according to update numbers.
In Henderson’s nonpartisan mayoral race, incumbent Michelle Romero is currently just under the 50% threshold needed to avoid a runoff, leading with 49.75% (29,040 votes), as of Wednesday.
Hollie Chadwick follows with 23.01% (13,432), and Adam Price is close behind at 21.42% (12,504).

In the closer North Las Vegas race, Daniele Monroe-Moreno leads with 47.06% (13,809), while Scott Black is second with 41.57% (12,198). The remaining candidates trail in single digits as of Wednesday.
A runoff is triggered if no candidate earns more than 50% of the vote in the initial election, which is typically the primary. In that case, the top two finishers advance to a second election.
If a candidate clears the 50% mark in the primary, they win the office outright and no runoff is needed.
All Southern Nevada justifications are expected to certify the election results on Thursday.
