LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A police pursuit of a reported stolen vehicle ended in a crash and an arrest early Tuesday, prompting a closure of a major freeway connector ramp.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers attempted to stop a reported stolen vehicle just after 2:30 a.m., but the driver failed to pull over, prompting a pursuit.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle on the westbound 215 ramp from Interstate 15. The suspect then ran from the vehicle but was taken into custody a short time later, police say.
The on-ramp from I-15 south to the 215 west remains closed as officers work the scene, and traffic is being diverted to the Russell Road exit.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area for the time being.
