New arresting documents obtained early Tuesday revealed that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI Criminal Apprehension Team stationed at the Four Queens Hotel & Casino on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas learned where 19-year-old Jamiah Mower was staying. As Mower tried to use the elevators that Monday morning, April 1, he was taken into custody without incident.

Phoenix Police Interim Chief Michael Sullivan announced last week Mower was one of three suspects arrested in the March 30 shooting near 33rd and Southern avenues.

At least one suspect shot Officer Harold Boswell multiple times during an ambush-style attack. Boswell was working off-duty at a nearby business and was responding to the area after the suspects were trying to carjack another person.

“The officer was attacked immediately. He was walking toward the scene where a robbery just occurred. Before he could approach the scene, he was immediately fired upon and struck with gunfire,” Chief Sullivan said.

On March 30, the first teen suspect was arrested after evidence led police to the teen’s home. As the investigation continued, detectives learned Mower was in Las Vegas. The last suspect was found in El Mirage on the same day as Mower’s arrest.
