LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says what began as an investigation into an accidental death along the Las Vegas Strip has evolved into an investigation into a homicide.
Paramedics responded to the area along Las Vegas Boulevard near Resorts World on October 29, 2023, for a report of an accident. They arrived to find 47-year-old Christoper Tapp with a serious head wound. They took Tapp to the hospital, but he did not survive.
Detectives now say they don’t believe his injuries were accidental. They say they’ve learned there was an altercation inside a hotel room before paramedics were called.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office says Tapp died as the result of blunt force trauma. It has since ruled Tapp’s death a homicide.
