LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are set to fly over the Hoover Dam Tuesday morning in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

The Thunderbirds’ flight over the dam will also mark the return of the 45,000-square-foot American flag to the iconic landmark. The flag was removed earlier this month due to an expected tear.

The flyover is scheduled for 9 a.m. Immediately after. the six jets will head for Washington, D.C., to participate in the Salute to America250 celebration.

This is Thunderbirds’ latest flyover after their valley-wide demonstration on Sunday and a special appearance at the Battle for Vegas game on Saturday.
