LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The UNLV baseball program had five players selected on the second and final day of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft on Sunday—four of them pitchers.

Right-handers Carson Lane (14th round, Cleveland Guardians), Jase Evangelista (14th round, Boston Red Sox), and Ryan Marton (17th round, Chicago Cubs) were all taken, along with left-hander Parker Dillhoff (18th round, Cleveland Guardians).

Outfielder Jack Salmon, the lone UNLV position player drafted, was selected in the 19th round by the Los Angeles Angels. Lane, Evangelista, and Marton are juniors, while Dillhoff and Salmon are seniors.

According to the school, this marks the program’s most draft picks since 2018, when six Rebels were selected, including Kansas City Royals outfielder Kyle Isbel, who was selected 94th overall in the third round.
