LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Stanley Cup Playoffs promotion meant to engage hockey fans turned into an unexpected community win for Southern Nevada.
During the 2026 NHL playoffs, the Utah Mammoth invited fans to trade in Vegas Golden Knights jerseys as part of a special promotion celebrating the team’s first playoff run.
The Utah Mammoth then donated the collected Golden Knights jerseys to the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.

The foundation distributed the jerseys to local nonprofits across the Las Vegas area, including HELP of Southern Nevada.
In a Facebook post, HELP said its youth and staff members are now proudly wearing the jerseys — a gesture the organization says has brought smiles and reinforced the idea that sports can unite communities beyond the rink.
HELP of Southern Nevada thanked Utah fans who donated their jerseys, the Utah Mammoth for turning the promotion into a charitable effort, and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation for ensuring the jerseys found “a meaningful second life” supporting local families and youth.
