LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting near an east Las Vegas park over the weekend, according to court records.
Jayden Torres was arrested Wednesday, July 22, in connection with the July 18 shooting near Hollywood Regional Park, according to court records that tied the arrest and shooting together.
Police say officers responded around 5 a.m. to reports of an unresponsive man near South Hollywood Boulevard and East Park Access Road. Officers found a man on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity had not been released as of Thursday, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives with the LVMPD Homicide Section believe the victim was with a group of people in the area when the shooting occurred. The suspect, or suspects, fled before officers arrived, police said.
Torres is being held without bail and faces charges of open murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder.
He is due in court Thursday.
