LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman wanted for a 2023 Wisconsin murder was arrested at a Las Vegas Strip hotel on Tuesday.

According to an arrest report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, it collaborated with the U.S. Marshals Task Force to locate and apprehend Denika White, 40, who had a fully extraditable warrant out of Milwaukee, WI for harboring a fugitive.

According to FOX6 in Milwaukee, the suspect and her son were charged in connection with a deadly shooting at a gas station last October. Milwaukee police responded to a gas station there early on Oct. 20, 2023 for a shooting complaint. They found a 54-year-old man with gunshot wounds who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

On March 5, White was located at the Paris Hotel and Casino on S. Las Vegas Blvd. Upon leaving her hotel room, she was taken into custody.

Police said she verbally identified herself and had a Wisconsin ID card on her at the time of her arrest. Her warrant was confirmed and she was taken to the Clark County Detention Center for booking.

White has an initial appearance in Clark County Justice Court on March 7.
