LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – It’s the time of year many people just can’t wait for: Girl Scout cookie season is almost here!
The Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada kick off one of their biggest fundraisers of the year on February 9. This year’s theme is Unbox the Future. The scouts use these sales as an opportunity to learn entrepreneurship skills.
Many of the scouts have been involved in these cookie sales for several years. They said that being a part of the program has been beneficial to their growth.
“I love the people I get to meet,” said Savannah Pearson, who has been a Girl Scout for six years. “I love all the opportunities I get. I love the life skills I’ve learned. I’ve learned teamwork, it’s boosted my confidence.”
If you know a Girl Scout personally, you can place orders now. If not, you’ll start seeing them in front of stores on February 9.
