LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – After a record-setting 2023, the World Series of Poker will return to the Las Vegas Strip on May 28.
According to a WSOP media release, the 55th edition of the Series will be back at the Horseshoe and Paris, offering up 99 gold bracelet events. There are several new events on the schedule this year, including one in which previous Main Event champions can play for free.
Event #1, the Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout, will kick off the festivities in 2024. That tournament has a $5,000 entry fee for non-champs and features a unique twist: any player who knocks out a former Main Event Champion will receive a free entry into the 2024 Main Event as a bounty prize.
The Main Event will begin on July 3, with four starting flights running until July 6. Late registration will be available on July 7-8 through Level 7 or around 4:40 p.m. on Day 2 of each day.

The Main Event Final Table will take place on July 16-17 at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. Last year’s Main Event drew a record 10,043 entrants and crowned Daniel Weinman as its champion, with a first-place purse of $12.1 million, the largest Main Event first-prize payout in series history.
