SILVER SPRINGS, Nev. (KOLO) – A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rattled an area near Silver Springs Wednesday.
Officials with Lyon County say the quake struck around 11 miles southeast of Silver Springs at around 10:30 a.m.
County officials say anyone who felt the shaking should:
- Check yourself and others for injuries
- Inspect your home for any damage or hazards
- Be prepared for possible aftershocks
- Avoid damaged buildings and downed power lines
Anyone who experienced damage is asked to contact local authorities.
