LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Nevada task force with the U.S. Marshals Service arrested a confirmed Southern California gang member in Las Vegas last week, recovering a handgun, an extended magazine and drugs at the time of his arrest.
Arrest details
Dylan Collins, 23, a confirmed member of the IE Projects criminal street gang, was taken into custody July 16 at approximately 4:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Charleston Boulevard. The U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force made the arrest.

Fugitive investigation
Collins allegedly violated his parole conditions and fled the San Bernardino, California area. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Fugitive Task Force. Through the course of the investigation, information indicated Collins was in the Las Vegas area, prompting the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force to assist with his apprehension.
Charges and custody
Collins faces an underlying charge of possession of a firearm out of San Bernardino County Superior Court. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center, where he is pending local charges and extradition.
