LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police are responding to a shooting that left one person dead Tuesday morning.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, one person was found with a gunshot wound near Polaris Avenue and Rush Avenue around 4:06 a.m. The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police later confirmed that the shooting was being investigated as a homicide.
Additional resources were dispatched to the area to conduct an investigation. Police said more information would be released later in the day.
