LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating after a man was injured in a southeast valley on Thursday morning.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred at 4:49 a.m. in the area of 4900 E. Tropicana Ave. Officers responded to the scene after receiving a ShotSpotter alert, and located a man at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he is currently listed as “stable” and was determined to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are currently on the scene, conducting an investigation.

According to RTC of Southern Nevada, all westbound lanes on Tropicana are blocked from Nellis to San Anselmo Street.
