LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Multiple units from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the Fashion Show mall on the Las Vegas Strip Monday evening.

Details are scarce, but an LVMPD Watch Commander told FOX5 that the police are not responding to an active shooter situation.

A Metro social media post stated that officers are investigating a theft. The post also called reports of a shooting “unfounded.”

In an update just after 7:30 p.m., police said that “multiple individuals wearing dark clothing” stole several items from a jewelry store inside the mall.

LVMPD Commercial Robbery detectives are on the scene as the investigation continues.
