LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Grand Prix honored Brogen Ripley, Arbor View High School’s automotive and technology program leader, with two tickets to the 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix on Aug. 28.
Ripley was recognized for his work educating students in STEM principles and his recognition as Secondary New Educator of the Year during the 2024-25 school year.

Jeremy Walters, community engagement director for Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, surprised Ripley in front of hundreds of students, staff and administration during Arbor View High School’s back-to-school assembly. The recognition was part of the Grand Prix’s Extraordinary Locals campaign.
Clark County School District Superintendent Jhone Ebert was also in attendance.
“At the heart of any thriving city are educators who invest in the next generation, and Brogen Ripley exemplifies that commitment,” Walters said. “As an Arbor View High School alumnus, Brogen is now inspiring students in the same community that helped shape him. Through his dedication to STEM education, he is helping develop the skills and passion that could one day lead his students to careers in engineering, technology, and even Formula 1. We are proud to recognize his impact and welcome him to this year’s race.”
Educating and inspiring youth in STEM is a foundational community pillar for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, as Formula 1 relies heavily on world-class engineering and technology.

I’ve had the chance to meet several of his students in the Automotive Technology Pathway, and it is evident that they are energized and engaged in their program,” Ebert said. “Mr. Ripley is putting our strategic plan into practice by equipping our students with durable skills and marketable assets that they can utilize after graduation.
