LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — It’s been a little over a week since a fire damaged several businesses in the Arts District.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, the community came together for a fundraiser to help the people affected.
Foreign Exchange Lounge in the Arts District held the fundraiser to benefit Raw Remedies and the Analog Dope book store. Local entertainers donated their time to the cause, performing for the community as they gathered in support of the impacted businesses.

The emcee of the event said it’s not just about restoration — it’s about progression too.
“So we don’t want to get you back to where you were. We want to get you beyond where you were. We want you to project farther than where you were before the incident happened,” said Macho, emcee and local entertainer.
The owner of the lounge, Robert Taylor said this cause hits close to home for him. Not only is he friends with the business owners, he said he has also lost a business to a fire.
