LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Residents in the mountains could face a power shutoff as early as tomorrow due to extreme fire danger.
NV Energy says it’s still monitoring conditions to determine whether it will shut off power for Kyle Canyon and Angel Peak as a precaution to help prevent wildfires during severe weather.
⚠️Due to extreme fire danger in the Mt. Charleston area, a Public Safety Outage Management (PSOM) WARNING has been issued from 8 a.m. Saturday, June 6 through 10 a.m. Sunday, June 7 for the following zones:

At this point, it’s only a warning and no outage has been confirmed.
If NV Energy moves forward, the planned outage would begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow and could last until 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
