LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A popular HGTV home renovation competition is helping raise money for homeless services in Southern Nevada.
Landon Miller Homes hosted a “Rock the Block” block party around four luxury houses featured on Season 7 of the HGTV series.
On Saturday, fans toured the fully furnished homes seen on TV, bid in a silent auction and enjoyed family-friendly games, food and local vendors.
Proceeds from ticket sales, merchandise and the auction benefited HomeAid Southern Nevada, an organization that completes renovation and building projects for local shelters and nonprofits.

“At HomeAid Southern Nevada, we do renovation and builds for local shelters and nonprofits, helping those experiencing at risk of homelessness,” said Taylor Booth, executive director of HomeAid Southern Nevada. “So we’ll partner up with a shelter and recruit our local builders to lead the project and act as our project managers.”
HomeAid said it relies largely on donated labor and materials, allowing partner organizations to direct more of their funding toward programs and services rather than renovation costs.
