LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Aviators capped a wild week at Las Vegas Ballpark by completing a series split with the Salt Lake Bees, rebounding after dropping the first three games to win the final three.
The turnaround coincided with a record-setting night at the ballpark. Team officials said Friday’s crowd of 12,390 was the largest in Las Vegas Ballpark history and marked the club’s 107th all-time sellout.
Friday’s record-breaking crowd was treated to an offensive outburst as the two teams combined for 28 runs, with Las Vegas getting the last laugh in a 19–9 win.
The next day, catcher Bryan Lavastida pulled off a successful steal of home in the seventh inning to give the Aviators a 1–0 lead, and Las Vegas went on to complete the shutout, 4–0.

The Aviators then closed out the series with a 10–4 matinee victory.
Next up, Las Vegas hits the road for a six-game series against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, beginning Tuesday.
The club returns home Tuesday, May 5 to open a new homestand against the St. Paul Saints, Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, in a unique interleague matchup.
