LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The city of Las Vegas is accepting story ideas from people who can tell true, personal stories about how documents, letters or records changed their lives for the “Paper Trail” StorySlam.

Organizers said they are looking for 10-minute stories about anything from love letters to eviction notices, faded receipts to legal contracts and the surprises, secrets or life changes those paper trails created.

How to submit

People who want to be considered as a storyteller for the June 6 StorySlam are asked to email a one- or two-sentence description of their story to [email protected] by May 8, 2026. All experience levels are welcome.

Selected storytellers will get three free workshops with teaching artist and emcee Dayvid Figler to polish their stories. Those workshops run Wednesdays, May 20, May 27 and June 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Charleston Heights Arts Center.
