The multi-agency DUI blitz involved patrol and traffic officers from all LVMPD area commands, Henderson Police Department, Las Vegas City Marshals, Nye County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Nevada State Police troopers, phlebotomists, identification technicians and dispatchers.
The operation also resulted in eight other arrests, two recovered firearms and 92 towed vehicles. LVMPD said the department is towing vehicles and taking drivers off the road who are putting others at risk.
“Driving is a privilege, not a right,” the department said in a statement.
LVMPD reminded drivers there are safe transportation options available and urged people to never drive impaired.
