LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Drivers should expect significant delays at Nellis Boulevard and Twain Avenue starting Monday, July 13, as crews begin round-the-clock sewer work that will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction, the Clark County Water Reclamation District said.

Northbound and southbound Nellis Boulevard will be temporarily restricted from three lanes to one lane for 24 hours a day at the Twain Avenue intersection from July 13 through Aug. 10, according to the district.

Officials said select turn restrictions will also be in place, including the closure of the southbound Nellis Boulevard left-turn lane at East Twain Avenue and the closure of the East Twain Avenue left-turn lane at Nellis Boulevard.

The nearly month-long project will be working on sewer bypass operations and the removal and replacement of a sewer line, along with continued manhole rehabilitation in the area, officials said.

Motorists are urged to use alternate routes, drive cautiously and allow extra travel time while work is underway.
