LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man accused of stealing and hurting several flamingo inside a Las Vegas Strip hotel failed to appear in court Thursday morning.
Mitchell Fairbarn of Ontario, Canada, faces four counts of animal cruelty after surveillance video allegedly showed him entering a wildlife habitat at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino and grabbing several flamingos.
Fairbarn has yet to appear for a single court hearing since his arrest.

According to an arrest report, Fairbarn told officers he was drunk and said he took the flamingo to his room to “pop” its wing back into place.
The video also appears to show him cornering the birds, dragging them out of the enclosure, and carrying one back to his hotel room.
