LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Newly-released grand jury evidence provides new perspective on the night a young woman and a one-year-old child lost their lives on a quiet street in the Southern Highlands.
Police body cameras captured the moment frantic friends flagged down police.
The double murder happened near Dean Martin and Starr on the night of March 2.

The young woman was watching a friend’s baby when a case of mistaken identity took a fatal turn.
Body camera video also captured the moment officers came upon a blue SUV with broken windows. Further investigation revealed tragedy.
Paramedics rushed both 20-year-old Danaijha Robinson and one-year-old Nhalani Hiner to the hospital, but they did not survive. Both died from gunshot wounds.
Three days later, police in Ogden, Utah arrested 22-year-old Ziaire Ham in connection with the killings.

Ham was arrested after a high-speed chase through three states.
Officers said he later told them he thought someone was following him and shot into the car out of fear. They said he became hysterical when told a child died.
Despite that reported confession, last Thursday Ham pleaded not guilty to two charges of murder with a deadly weapon. He also faces eight felony counts for firing into an occupied vehicle.
Ham is being held without bail. He will face a judge again on June 24.
