LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Hospitalized and unable to attend his school prom, a local teen got a prom night of his own, thanks to the help of staff at Sunrise Children’s Hospital.
According to hospital staff, 17-year-old Cesar Dominguez was recently hospitalized and unable to attend prom. This lead to nurses and other care team members organizing an in-hospital event so he could still take part in the experience.

The hospital playroom was transformed and decorated as a prom venue, with music, karaoke, cake, and visits from costumed superheroes. The surprise event allowed Dominguez to participate in a prom-style celebration while continuing his medical care, officials add.
“It was really sweet that the nurses and care team did this for me,” Dominguez said.
Staff members coordinated details of the event, including a prom-style invitation and formal attire, to recreate the atmosphere of the night.
