LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be taking to the skies in February, this time for the Super Bowl.

Nellis Air Force Base announced that the Thunderbirds are scheduled to perform a flyover for Super Bowl LVIII, set to take place at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11.

The Air Force performs close to 1,000 flyovers a year for different events. They said it helps showcase the capabilities of the aircraft while also inspiring patriotism for those watching.

While those inside the stadium may not be able to see the planes, it will likely be visible on broadcast and to those surrounding the stadium.
