LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Professional Women’s Hockey League is expanding to Las Vegas, sources tell FOX5.

An official announcement is expected on Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena.

It is still unclear where the team would play. The team will most likely be owned by Mark Walter, who owns the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with the PWHL and all of its teams.

The move comes as the league looks to expand to 12 teams. Detroit was announced last week. Ontario and San Jose could also be getting teams.
