LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety released its April 2026 Statewide Fatal Report, showing 26 lives were claimed on Nevada’s roadways compared to 39 in April 2025, marking a 33.33% decrease.
So far in 2026, there have been 105 road fatalities in Nevada, marking a decrease of 24.46% compared to the same period last year.
The Nevada Office of Traffic Safety said the decrease reflects fewer fatalities compared to the same period last year and underscores the continued commitment of Nevadans to improving roadway safety across the state.
The office said while the progress is encouraging, there is still important work ahead.
