LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A massive new master-planned community in northwest Las Vegas is moving forward, bringing up to 6,000 homes to the growing valley over the next several years, municipal officials announced Wednesday.
The developer, The Olympia Companies, acquired the property through the city to build Monument Hills, which will feature residential housing across a variety of market segments.

The project’s launch follows years of coordination between Las Vegas city officials and Nevada’s federal delegation to acquire the public acreage from the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and reallocate it for municipal development.
“We look forward to seeing Monument Hills take shape and create more housing opportunities for Las Vegas residents in the years ahead,” city representatives said in a statement on social media.
