LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Governor Joe Lombardo made a stop at UNLV on Saturday to support a cause that hits home for many families.
Lombardo attended the UNLV women’s softball game as part of the Rebels’ Strike Out Cancer Weekend, an event focused on raising awareness and honoring those impacted by cancer.

Before the first pitch, the governor participated in the pregame ceremony — handing the ball off to Michael Fox, who was joined by his wife, Jennifer. Both Michael and Jennifer are cancer survivors and the parents of UNLV softball head coach Kristie Fox.
