LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar is asking voters who returned a mail ballot in the June Primary Election to watch for a notice from state or county election officials about their ballot signature.

If there’s a problem, like a missing signature or one that doesn’t match the signature on file, voters can fix it through Nevada’s “signature cure” process.

The deadline to cure a signature is Monday, June 15 at 5 p.m.

Voters who get a cure notice can complete the process at Cure.NV.gov or contact their county election office directly.

Officials also encourage voters to make sure their contact information is current by adding a phone number and email to their voter registration at VOTE.NV.gov.

“Mail ballots allow Nevadans to vote in a way that works for them, and voters in every corner of our state utilize this option to make their voice heard. Nevada is a battleground state with many very close races in every election – every eligible voter deserves to have their vote counted,” said Secretary Aguilar.

How voters can check if their ballot needs to be cured:

  1. Visit Vivid.NV.gov
  2. Scroll down to the “Voter List & Ballot Status Reports”
  3. Download the file of their county (and Congressional District, if necessary)
  4. Search for their name
  5. Find the status of their ballot in the “Ballot Status” column
  6. If a ballot needs to be cured, it will be flagged as “Signature Cure Needed” in the Ballot Status column

Results are not final until the canvass is completed, which must happen by June 18—the 10th day after the Primary Election—since June 19 is a state holiday.
