LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Hundreds of fans gathered at Circa resort Sunday to watch Spain win the FIFA World Cup, with some traveling across the country to take part in the celebration.
Chants of “Campeones del mundo” filled the venue as Spain secured the title, bringing together supporters who had waited years to see the moment.

Fans recall Spain’s previous championship
Marco Sequeria, whose family is from Valencia, Spain, watched the match from Southern Nevada while his relatives celebrated overseas.
“I remember when Iniesta scored against the Netherlands in the 116th minute,” Sequeria said. “And then see them do it again. This is crazy. This is crazy. This is crazy. This is crazy.”
For Sequeria, the win carried personal history. “The last time I saw this happen, I was 10 years old,” he said.
Support crossed national lines
Not all fans at the watch party had ties to Spain. One England supporter said he was rooting for La Roja.
“I want Spain to win, obviously,” the fan said. “Argentina shouldn’t have beat us.”
As the final whistle sounded, celebrations spilled beyond the venue. Sequeria said he planned to mark the moment with those closest to him.
“I’m going to celebrate with my friends. I’m going to call my family,” he said. “They’re in Spain right now celebrating.”
