LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A suspect was taken into custody Wednesday, months after a deadly south valley shooting killed a man and critically injured a woman.
28-year-old Quentin Ledet was identified as a suspect in the shooting, which occurred on Sept. 3, 2024, in the 500 block of East Sahara Avenue.
Around 1:39 a.m., Las Vegas Metro Police dispatchers received reports of a shooting happening near a business. Arriving officers located a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was later pronounced dead at the scene, and the female was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she was treated for life-threatening injuries.
An initial investigation found the suspect approached the passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and fired several rounds into the car.
Ledet was taken into custody with the help of the FBI, HPD, and NLVPD. He was booked into Clark County Detention Center on charges of open and attempted murder.
He is due in court on Friday, March 14.
