LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A domestic disturbance has now turned into a barricade Thursday evening, Las Vegas police say.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to the 3800 block of Hazelwood Street, near University Center Drive and Twain Avenue. Police said a man had reportedly beaten a woman, then kicked the door to another resident’s home.

Police at the scene said officers made contact with the suspect at his own home, who refused to exit. Police say the scene is an active barricade with SWAT on scene and responding.
Police say traffic will be affected east and west on Twain for the next several hours. The public is asked to avoid the area.
