LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — “The Empire Strips Back,” a burlesque parody show, is extending its run on the Las Vegas Strip.
The adults-only stage show, inspired by a galaxy far, far away, will continue at the Rio Hotel and Casino through May 4, 2029.
“The Empire Strips Back” mixes burlesque, comedy and sci-fi style spectacle, featuring familiar archetypes reimagined with choreography, humor and high-energy numbers. Producers said more than 400,000 tickets have already been sold.

The extension means Las Vegas locals and tourists will have more chances to see the show, with performances scheduled through spring 2029.
The show features droids, stormtroopers, Boba Fett and Skywalker characters reimagined by the creative team.
