LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Get ready to rock Henderson!
The city announced Tuesday it is now accepting applications for its fourth annual Battle of the Bands competition, and this year even more musicians are encouraged to try out.
The contest will feature two new categories; one for groups made completely of those under the age of 20, and another for bands that include at least one member who’s older than 21. A group must have at least two members, and they must be local to the Las Vegas Valley.
A performance video is also need to be considered.
The top three bands in the 21 or older category will win:
- 1st place – $1,500
- 2nd place – $500
- 3rd place – $250
Winners in the 20 and younger category will take home:
- 1st place – $500
- 2nd place – $200
- 3rd place – $100
The top six bands will also be considered for future bookings at various city events. For more information and an application, visit the City of Henderson’s website.
